Evaluation for Leakiness of the Tank

Author and Disclosure Information

A man with pain, nausea, and weakness arrives at the ED. His history is notable for a few falls sustained 2 days earlier and a sore throat and chills that have lasted 2 weeks. In another case, a woman presents with abdominal pain, weakness, and shortness of breath. In both cases, rapid diagnosis can best be accomplished using the RUSH evaluation for “leakiness of the tank.”
