Sialorrhea, or excessive drooling, is a significant problem in patients with neurologic disabilities that impair orofacial control. In 2010, the Veteran’s Affairs (VA) health care system reported that 19,200 to 44,400 patients with Parkinson disease had experienced sialorrhea.1,2
