Improving Patient-Centered Care: Personal Models of Depression Among Older Male Veterans

One of the missions of the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) is to develop and evaluate new models of geriatric care while providing outpatient interdisciplinary care to older veterans. The goal of this care is to optimize older veterans’ quality of life (QOL) and maximize their functional status. The VAPAHCS GRECC clinics focus on both medical and psychosocial services, particularly the impact of depression on QOL and functional status.
