Peptic Ulcer Bleeding; PTSD and Metabolic Syndrome

Peptic ulcer disease, the most common cause of upper gastrointestinal
(GI) bleeding, is usually due to Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) infection or to nonsteroidal antiinflammatories (NSAIDs). Does the etiology make a difference in outcome? Researchers from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital, both in Dallas, and the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston hypothesized that the answer would be yes.
