“The negative effects of insomnia symptoms, such as nighttime awakenings, are often underestimated and therefore go underrecognized and undertreated,” the researchers concluded. “Better educational efforts are warranted to fulfill the growing need for both workers and employers to recognize the potential negative implications of poor sleep.”
