NR2 Peptide Assay Detects Transient Ischemic Attack and Acute Ischemic Stroke

NR2 Peptide Assay May Increase Diagnostic Certainty
NR2 peptide correlates with early symptoms of multiple TIA and new lesions confirmed by radiologic findings have been reported. It may also be helpful in differentiating cerebral ischemic events from stroke mimics, the investigators added.

The Gold Dot MP-ELISA assay demonstrated good real-time stability characteristics, showing good within-run, between-run, between-day, and total precision results, according to the researchers. This assay can therefore be used as an additional tool for clinical observation and neuroimaging and increasing diagnostic certainty, Dr. Dambinova’s group concluded.
