A 23-year-old woman presents with wheezing and breathlessness. She reports a history of allergen-induced asthma which was managed previously with high-dose inhaled corticosteroids (ICS). However, she grew increasingly bothered by nighttime symptoms, and 4 months ago she integrated a nonbiologic add-on into her treatment regimen. She reports no occupational exposure or underlying conditions. Her blood eosinophil count is 155 cells/µL.
