USPSTF updates diabetes recs, lowers screening age

The US Preventive Services Task Force recently updated its recommendations on screening for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. In this month’s audio, Dr. Campos-Outcalt outlines the starting age (which is lower) and BMI thresholds for whom to screen, explains how USPSTF’s recommendations differ from those of the American Diabetes Association, and shares good news about insurance coverage for screening and interventions.
