Changing Public Perception of Vitiligo

In this episode of the “Peer to Peer” podcast series, Dr. Vincent DeLeo speaks with Dr. Susan Taylor about the changing face of vitiligo and the impact that increased media exposure for models with vitiligo has had on public perception of this condition. Dr. Taylor notes that public figures who embrace their vitiligo not only raise awareness for the disease but also may encourage other vitiligo patients to seek treatment from a dermatologist as well as prompt researchers to identify new therapies for this condition to bridge current gaps in treatment.
