Is it time to revise ASCVD cardiovascular risk threshold?


 

Researchers suggest that revising the threshold for high CV risk from 7.5% at 10 years to 10% at 10 years. Also today, psoriasis adds to risk of CV procedures and surgery in hypertension, sickle cell disease gene therapy seen advancing, and early appendectomy is linked with a reduction in risk for developing Parkinson’s later in life.
