Transitioning to ICD-10

Author and Disclosure Information

Dr. Angela Lamb discusses the transition to ICD-10, the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision. She elaborates on health care reporting on an international level and how ICD-10 will provide a consistent mechanism for worldwide analysis of data. Dr. Lamb mentions details that will not be impacted by ICD-10 and the specificity offered by the new revision. Although the implementation date has changed, Dr. Lamb emphasizes that this extra time should be used wisely with training.
