The role of the VA cancer registrar is changing in terms of providing education and information to members of cancer teams in VA facilities, according to Donna Connery, CTR, and Barb Cunningham, CTR. Watch as they speak about how improved communication can help facilities meet the American College of Surgeons’ oncology standards.

“You need to be able to communicate well with everyone in your program,” Cunningham explained. “You need to look at the big picture of your organization, but take small pieces of it and work on improving small areas first, or a little at a time.”
