Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia partnered with the Lantern Theater Company to offer a class that teaches staging, acting, and playwriting. The class is designed specifically for med students, current residents, attending physicians, and any other medical professionals. The class eliminates hierarchy, encourages artistic exploration, and can lead to increased empathy when dealing with patients and their families.
