Study tests a simpler low disease activity measure for lupus

Key clinical point: A simpler disease activity scale could boost treat-to-target efforts in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.

Major finding: There was no significant difference in how the new index, the systemic lupus erythematosus Disease Activity Score, and the Lupus Low Disease Activity State performed in classifying patients as having low disease activity.
