Certain quality of life issues are specific to patients with brain metastases.

Identifying risk factors can greatly improve how patients with brain metastases can manage their disease, according to Maciej Mrugala, MD, PhD, MPH.

"The major question that arises when we get to quality of life in our patients is how we are going to measure it," Mrugala explained. "It is a very challenging task because there are many tools to measure quality of life out there."
