CSF metabolomic profile linked to cancer-related fatigue in children with ALL

Key clinical point: Cerebrospinal fluid metabolites were significantly associated with fatigue in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Major finding: The abundance of gamma-glutamylglutamine, dimethylglycine, and asparagine in postinduction cerebrospinal fluid samples was significantly associated with fatigue.

Study details: Pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients were divided into discovery (n = 86) and replication (n = 85) cohorts, and cerebrospinal fluid samples were taken and assessed.
