Clip closure reduced bleeding after large lesion resection

Key clinical point: Clip closure significantly reduced the risk of delayed bleeding in patients after resection of large colorectal lesions.

Major finding: Delayed bleeding risk was 5% for patients treated with clip closure after resection of large nonpedunculated colorectal lesions versus 12.1% for untreated patients.

Study details: The data come from a single-blind study of 235 consecutive patients at 11 hospitals in Spain.
