Noninvasive tests boost risk stratification in obese compensated ACLD

Key clinical point: Noninvasive testing may improve risk stratification in compensated advanced chronic liver disease

Major finding: Portal hypertension had an area under the curve of 0.829 (P less than .001) vs. 0.803 for liver stiffness measurement (P < .001).

Study details: Retrospective study of 272 consecutive patients with chronic liver disease who had liver stiffness measurement by transient elastography with XL probe from 2015 to January 2018.
