Medicaid expansion linked to more early cancer diagnoses
Key clinical point: Medicaid insurance expansion improved early cancer diagnosis but did not affect time to treatment.
Major finding: Early-stage diagnoses were 0.8 percentage points higher in states that adopted expanded Medicaid coverage than in nonexpansion states (P = .001).
