Sentinel node biopsy safe for women with vulval cancer

Key clinical point: Women with vulval cancer who have a negative sentinel node biopsy have high survival and low rate of recurrence.

Major finding: Three-year overall survival in women with negative sentinel node biopsy after vulval cancer was 84% and rate of recurrence was 12.1%

Study details: Prospective, nationwide cohort study in 190 women with vulval cancer.
