Key clinical point: Practices participating in the Oncology Care Model (OCM) experience differing successes and challenges with implementation of the model.

Major finding: Effective electronic health records, supportive leadership, and robust physician-patient communication are key elements to successful enactment of OCM.

Study details: Interviews with 3 practices and 1 network of practices that are participating in the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Oncology Care Model.
