Report describes intoxication with new psychoactive substance

Key clinical point: Flualprazolam, a new psychoactive substance, may cause symptoms of central nervous system depression that resolve within 6 hours.

Major finding: Among teenagers intoxicated with the designer benzodiazepine, lethargy and slurred speech were the most common clinical findings. One had mild respiratory depression.

Study details: A description of a cluster of six cases of flualprazolam intoxication at a high school.
