Exercise intolerance linked to neurocognitive dysfunction in ALL
Key clinical point: Exercise intolerance was associated with worse neurocognitive function in adult survivors of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Major finding: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia survivors had lower mean relative peak volume of oxygen scores and worse performance on several neurocognitive measures, compared with controls (all P less than .001).
Study details: A cross-sectional cohort study of 341 adult survivors of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia and 288 healthy controls.
