Black patients less likely to receive H. pylori eradication testing

Key clinical point: Black patients may less often receive eradication testing for Helicobacter pylori than patients of other races/ethnic groups.

Major finding: Black patients were 38% less likely to undergo eradication testing than White patients (odds ratio, 0.62; 95% CI, 0.48-0.79).

Study details: A retrospective cohort study involving 1,711 patients diagnosed with H. pylori at a large academic treatment center between 2016 and 2018.
