Weight loss may be paramount lifestyle change in preventing gout

Key clinical point: Addressing four lifestyle factors has the potential to reduce the incidence of new gout cases by 77%.

Data source: A prospective cohort study of 44,654 men who were enrolled in the Health Professionals Follow-up Study and followed during 1986-2012.
