Most preschoolers with signs of ADHD aren’t ready for primary school
Key clinical point: The majority of preschoolers with signs of moderate to severe ADHD do not appear ready for primary school.
Major finding: 79% of children in an ADHD group were not ready for school vs. 13% in a comparison group. (OR, 21, 95% CI, 5.67-77.77, P = .001)
Study details: Analysis of 45 children with symptoms of moderate to severe ADHD and 48 in a comparison group (ages 4-6 years).
